The Servant-Lover God has spoken and it is time to celebrate a life of love, the life of a Servant-Lover. Mom is a lover, a servant to those in her life, a servant of God – as in Mathew – “whoever wishes to be great among you shall be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave”. Mom humbly and dutifully accepted a role of service as a child, caring for her young siblings and aiding her widowed mother to care for and support her family. Mom sacrificed her own pursuits for the service of others. As she matured, she grew in faith and love and was blessed by God to rejoice in service – growing deeper in her faith and closer to God through her service of others. Mom was blessed by God to be truly fulfilled in both life and death as a great Servant-Lover – she lived a life to celebrate.
